What is a Facebook Landing Page?
A Facebook Landing Page is a branded app tab within Facebook with information similar to that on a webpage but it is directly on the social media platform.
Why You Should Use Facebook Landing Pages
You may be questioning why these pages are needed, since you can use Facebook to write posts to send visitors directly to your website.
But the reason is that social media is very different from other forms of online marketing. When users are on Facebook they don’t want to be interrupted with links to a separate website, they are much more likely to engage if the content is viewable within Facebook.
Facebook Ads and Landing Pages
When somebody clicks on your Facebook ad, you have approximately 8 seconds to grab your visitor’s attention and get them to convert. If the landing page you send them to is also on Facebook then they are much more likely to engage with it and purchase your product/service, download your resource, register for your webinar or make an appointment, etc.
Here are some tips for Face book Ads and Landing Pages:
Make sure your Facebook Ad headline and your Landing Page headline match.
Headline match means simply ensuring that ad copy is clearly reflected on the landing page. This usually means the ad headline and landing page headline match up. Additionally the offer from the ad and the one being made on the landing page must match up.
Visual content is treated more favourably in Facebook, it is more engaging in the ever-changing News Feed, and therefore is more likely to catch the eye of your potential customer.
Big call to action
Having a big call-to-action that is above the fold is pretty self-explanatory. In almost all cases you don’t want to force the visitor to hunt for the conversion. It should be big, bold and visible without needing to scroll down the page.
